Booking Process 

 

All BDRA members are eligible to book on our coach trips. Members may book a place on a coach trip for a non-member to accompany them. Non-members may not book on a coach trip or travel without a BDRA member.

 

All trips must be pre-booked and are sold on a first come first served basis.

 

Payment in full is required as soon as possible after the booking.

 

Some trips may not be suitable for people with certain disabilities, which should therefore be notified at the time of booking in addition to any health/allergy/food tolerance etc. issues.

 

Lone travellers are advised to provide an emergency contact number when booking or boarding.

 

 

 

Admission

 

Admission charges are included in all prices unless otherwise stated.

 

 

 

Cancellation by BDRA

 

Should circumstances arise where BDRA cancel any trip, e.g insufficient demand, civil unrest, strikes, police road closures, terrorist attacks, adverse weather and road conditions, all monies paid by BDRA members for that particular trip will be refunded in full. Following that, BDRA shall be exempt from any further liability.

 

 

 

Breakdowns and Delays

 

BDRA give advice on return time in good faith. However as a result of breakdown, traffic congestion or other events beyond the reasonable control of BDRA and the coach company we are hiring, journeys may take longer than expected and in those circumstances BDRA will not be liable for loss or inconvenience caused to our member.

 

 

 

Alterations to Trip

 

Should third parties (attraction / venue / theatre, etc) prove unable to provide the full facility or service as advertised then BDRA cannot accept liability or provide compensation. We will endeavour to obtain compensation from the third party on behalf of our members.

 

 

Refund Policy Update(Nov2019)

 

You may cancel any booking made. All refunds are discretionary, and will normally be granted only if the place/s can be re-sold to another member. BDRA keeps waiting lists for trips and where possible will re-sell the place on your behalf, but makes no guarantee regarding re-sale. Refunds are made by means of bank transfer payments. Requesters of refunds will be requested to supply bank account details -- sort code and account number -- to the coach trip organiser in writing, either by email or by means of a note. 

 

 

 

BDRA Responsibility

 

BDRA are not responsible for people when they are not on the coach or attending the booked attraction / venue / theatre etc.

 

If you bring your own food or equipment you are responsible for this and the use and safety of it.

 

If the trip involves free time you are responsible for yourself and for returning to the coach at the appointed time

 

 

 

Property

 

BDRA will not accept liability for any damage to or loss of property belonging to any passenger left in the vehicle.

 

 

 

Other matters

 

a. You may not bring a pet or other animal on the trip.

 

b. You may not play a CD or DVD player or radio on the coach unless you use headphones and its operation is silent.

 

c. Smoking is not allowed on coaches. It is illegal.

 

d. Seat belts must be fastened at all times when the vehicle is moving. This is a legal requirement.

 

e. The time and place of all departures will be clearly notified. In fairness to other passengers coaches will not wait for latecomers, and no responsibility can be accepted for consequential costs, inconvenience etc. Emergency services will be advised of anyone not present when a coach departs from a trip destination or stopover point.

To comply with the Data Protection Act 1984, we must inform you that your name and address is held on computer and will not be given to any other persons outside of BDRA.
